Sugar Beet Factory York (Silo 4)

No you haven't cracked up! You read it right, Salsa in a sugar silo. The Performing Arts York gave out a challenge "To Dance Where You Have Never Danced Before" Not a problem for Carr Infant School.

Lorraine was asked if she could teach the kids aged six and seven to Salsa. "No problem" said Lorraine who soon knocked the twenty children into shape. Then Lorraine was informed that "British Sugar" (who sponsor Carr Infant School) had prepared a silo for the children to dance in!

Lorraine takes a breath of fresh air before the performance.

The thirty-six meter diameter silo was more like a huge space ship inside which the kids thoroughly enjoyed.

The children performed their dance routine to perfection in what can only be described as "A very unusual place" There is no first place for originality but my vote sure goes to Carr Infants and Lorraine.

What a finish well done Carr School Infants

Pictured below Ian Humphries from British Sugar who ensured everything ran smoothly with the Carr School Salsa Team.

Not forgetting Lorraine who was presented with a wonderful bouquet of flowers.

I wont ask where the next gig will be!
